February 7, 2025 – 11:01 PM:

In an announcement that rocked the music industry, DOORKNOB split up in what fans and execs could only describe as a “devastatingly foreseeable” event.  The power duo’s newest feud erupted when Matt discovered that Derek leaked a practice tape online of their upcoming hit song, “How ‘Bout Two Strings.”  Matt rushed back into the studio screaming at Derek and in a fit of rage, said, “I wasn’t done yet!  I was thinking about adding or subtracting another string, but now it’s too late!  You ruined everything.  You always ruin everything.  The fans will always know it as ‘How ‘Bout Two Strings’ And nothing else!  Damn you, Derek.  Damn you!”   

When briefed for comment, Derek stated that Matt violently twisted the tuning knobs of Derek’s guitar into a near-drop-D tuning, something that Derek has made clear to Matt that he does not really like very much, and that will take “some time” to return his guitar, and indeed, Doorknob itself, to normal. 

February 8, 2025 – 7:26 AM – UPDATE:  After discovering several positive responses online from the leaked footage, Doorknob announces that they are excited to debut their newest hit “How ‘Bout Two Strings?” during their headlining show at Doolin’s Pub in Litchfield, Maine on February 19.
